CORE UNIT

Implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures and programs to meet legislative requirements (BSBWHS401 – 50 nom hours)
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to implement and monitor the organisation’s work health and safety (WHS) policies, procedures and programs in the relevant work area in order to meet legislative requirements.

qualification level. If not listed below, 1 unit may be selected from either a Certificate III or Diploma qualification.

Coordinate implementation of customer service strategies (BSBCUS401 – 40 nom hours)
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to advise on, carry out and evaluate customer service strategies, including the design of improvement strategies based on feedback.

Review and maintain a website (BSBEBU401 – 50 nom hours)
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to undertake data analysis, review website content and update and maintain a website.

Report on financial activity (BSBFIA412 – 30 nom hours)
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to prepare financial reports in line with statutory reporting requirements. It encompasses compiling and analysing data.

Organise meetings (BSBADM405 – 40 nom hours)
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to organise meetings including making arrangements, liaising with participants, and developing and distributing meeting related documentation.

Coordinate business resources (BSBADM409 – 30 nom hours)
This unit applies to individuals with a broad knowledge of business resources who contribute well developed skills and knowledge to ensure adequate resources are available to perform the work of the organisation. They may have
responsibility to provide guidance or to delegate aspects of these tasks to others.

Promote innovation in a team environment (BSBINN301 – 40 nom hours)
This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to be an effective and proactive member of an innovative team.

Use and respect copyright (BSBIPR401 – 50 nom hours)
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to use and respect copyright. It covers maintaining control over the copyright owner’s work, commercialising copyright material, preventing the unauthorised use of an original work, and using other party’s original work legitimately.

Make a presentation (BSBCMM401 – 30 nom hours)
This unit covers the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to prepare, deliver and review a presentation to a target audience.

Design and develop relational databases (BSBITA411 – 60 nom hours)
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to design and develop a multi-table relational database (including queries, forms and reports) to meet a defined need using existing data and available digital database applications/platforms.

Maintain and implement digital technology (BSBITS411 – 40 nom hours)
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to maintain the effectiveness of digital technology in the workplace. It includes maintaining existing technology, planning for future technology requirements, and identifying opportunities to improve workplace effectiveness and efficiency by introducing new digital technologies.

Design and develop complex text documents (BSBITU401 – 100 nom hours)
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to design and develop business documents using complex technical features of word processing software.

Design and use complex spreadsheets (BSBITU402 – 50 nom hours)
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to use spreadsheet software to complete business tasks and to produce complex documents.

Produce complex desktop published documents (BSBITU404 – 50 nom hours)
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to design and produce complex desktop published documents.

Develop teams and individuals (BSBLED401 – 40 nom hours)
This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to determine individual and team development needs and facilitate the development of the workgroup.

Promote products and services (BSBMKG413 – 40 nom hours)
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to coordinate and review the promotion of an organisation’s products and services.

Undertake project work (BSBPMG522 – 60 nom hours)
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to undertake a straightforward project or a section of a larger project. This unit addresses the management of projects, including developing a project plan,
administering and monitoring the project, finalising the project, and reviewing the project to identify lessons learned for application to future projects.

Establish networks (BSBREL401 – 35 nom hours)
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to develop and maintain effective work relationships and networks. It covers the relationship building and negotiation skills required by workers within an
organisation as well as freelance or contract workers.

Analyse and present research information (BSBRES401 – 30 nom hours)
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to gather, organise and present workplace information using available systems.

Identify risk and apply risk management processes (BSBRSK401 – 50 nom hours)
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to identify risks and to apply established risk management processes to a subset of an organisation or project’s operations that are within the person’s own work responsibilities and area of operation

Implement and monitor environmentally sustainable work practices (BSBSUS401 – 40 nom hours)
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to effectively analyse the workplace in relation to environmentally sustainable work practices and to implement improvements and monitor their effectiveness. This unit requires the ability to access industry information, applicable legislative and
occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines.
