CORE UNIT:

Contribute to health and safety of self and others (BSBWHS201 – 20 nom hours)
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to participate in work health and safety (WHS) processes to protect own health and safety, and that of others.

SUGGESTED ELECTIVE UNITS:

7 elective units must be selected from the elective units listed below. The remaining 4 elective units may be selected from the elective units listed below, or any currently endorsed Training Package or accredited course at the same qualification level. Deliver a service to customers (BSBCUS201 – 40 nom hours)
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to deliver all aspects of customer service at an introductory level. It includes creating a relationship with customers, identifying their needs, delivering services or products and processing customer feedback.

Work effectively in a business environment (BSBIND201 – 30 nom hours)
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform a range of mainly routine tasks using limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge in a defined context, working under direct supervision.

Process and maintain workplace information (BSBINM201 – 30 nom hours)
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to collect, process, store and maintain workplace information and systems. It also includes the maintenance of filing and records systems.

Handle mail (BSBINM202 – 15 nom hours)
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to receive and distribute incoming mail, and to collect and despatch outgoing mail.

Contribute to workplace innovation (BSBINN201 – 35 nom hours)
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to make a pro active and positive contribution to workplace innovation.

Communicate in the workplace (BSBCMM201 – 40 nom hours)
This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to communicate in the workplace. It covers the activities of gathering, conveying and receiving information together with completing routine written correspondence.

Produce digital text documents (BSBITU211 – 60 nom hours)
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to digitally produce word documents in a workplace context.

Create and use spreadsheets (BSBITU212 – 30 nom hours)
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to correctly create and use spreadsheets and charts using both cloud-based and non-cloud based spreadsheet applications.

Use digital technologies to communicate remotely (BSBITU213 – 20 nom hours)
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to effectively identify, select and use available methods of digital communication in a workplace context. Such methods may include electronic mail (email), instant messaging and other similar applications/web-based platforms.

Participate in environmentally sustainable work practices (BSBSUS201 – 20 nom hours)
This unit covers the identification and application of environmental policies and procedures in the workplace. Those who work under instruction but are not generally responsible for others would be advised to undertake this unit.

Organise and complete daily work activities (BSBWOR202 – 20 nom hours)
This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to organise and complete own work activities, and obtain feedback on work performance.

Work effectively with others (BSBWOR203 – 15 nom hours)
This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to work in a group environment such as promoting team commitment and cooperation and supporting team members.

Use business technology (BSBWOR204 – 20 nom hours)
This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to select, use, and maintain business technology. This technology includes the effective use of computer software to organise information and data.
